Bazuki Muhammad is an international award-winning photographer and is an editor who has covered assignments for news organizations in the U.S. and in Malaysia for 25 years. A US-educated architect, Bazuki spent 10 years in New Orleans and Knoxville experimenting with his “Thinking Eyes” before shooting for Reuters for 17 years based in Kuala Lumpur. Bazuki won Publish Asia’s Best in Sports Photography for two consecutive years in 2002 and 2003. Bazuki covered London Olympics, cyclone Nargis in Myanmar, U.S. President Bush in Japan, the war in Afghanistan, Tsunami in Thailand, Hajj in Mecca, and Thailand’s political turmoil.
Bazuki is currently the manager for NSTP Kreatif of the New Straits Times Press in Kuala Lumpur.
Bazuki is an alumnus of College of Design, Louisiana State University.
